Fragments from the internal launch campaign for the Nike Air Westbrook. Motion graphics built as collage: basketball, vintage court footage, type and neon.
Layered, not composed
The system is layered rather than composed. Action shots sit on top of retro sports graphics. Vintage court imagery gets cut against contemporary players. Typography lands hard and then moves. Classical sculpture fragments appear beside the sneaker itself under pink speed blur. Glitch and analog grain hold the layers together so the collage reads as one surface instead of a stack. Colour stays vibrant throughout, closer to a printed poster than to broadcast. Every element is pitched at the same intensity, so nothing in the frame waits its turn and no single layer is allowed to settle. The result holds together as a single moving poster.
Energy was the deliverable
This was an internal launch, so the audience already knew the product. The work had to generate energy rather than explain a sneaker. The collage never slows down long enough to become a product shot, which is the entire point of it.
