Nea Studio handled post production, VFX and motion graphics for YO AK, the official music video from Feid's FERXXOCALIPSIS album, featuring Jhay P.
A music video that borrows from print
The visual system borrows from print. Portraits sit inside a grid, pixelated and cropped hard. Biblical typography runs across the frame. Split screens put a neon green tinted performance still next to a black and white vintage painting and let the collision do the work. Glitch treatments break the image without ever breaking the read. Between them sit quieter frames: a dark romantic portrait, an intimate black and white moment, a close up held longer than the cut wants to allow. A neon green hand gesture carries Love never fails across the grain. Nothing in the video sits still long enough to be read as a single image.
Where the album world gets built
The footage arrived already shot. What defines the video is everything that happens after: the grid, the type, the colour, the glitch. That layer is the reason it looks like nothing else on the album. LIVING THE FERXXOCALIPSIS.
